"Colorado's Game-Changing Performance: Breaking the Long-Standing Streak" Dec 28, 2023

The Colorado Avalanche have had some worried fans recently, as they haven't been playing up to their usual standards. However, in one night, they showed that they're still a force to be reckoned with. The game started off evenly between the Avs and the Coyotes, with not much excitement until Bowen Byram fired the first shot that put Arizona on the defensive. The second period was where the Avalanche really turned up the heat, accounting for 72% of expected goals. Valeri Nichushkin scored just 90 seconds into the period, followed by a Josh Manson goal and a beautiful pass from Andrew Cogliano to Fredrik Olofsson right before the buzzer. In the third period, the Avs came out strong, determined to play a full 60 minutes of hockey

They dominated the game, playing with a stifling defense and taking few chances. However, Arizona managed to score off a faceoff after Miles Wood took a penalty, but there was no more drama after that. Overall, the Avs won comfortably with a score of 4-1, proving that they're still a top team in the Central Division. They may have had some struggles this season, but they have the potential to show why they're the best team in the NHL on any given night. Looking ahead, the Avs will face the Coyotes again after the holiday break. The game will take place on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m

MT. In the meantime, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from everyone at Mile High Hockey!
