"Country Star Jon Pardi Opens Up About Overcoming Health Issues and Sobriety Journey" Dec 28, 2023

Jon Pardi, the country singer, has recently reached a milestone of 130 days of sobriety from alcohol. In a recent interview with Amazon Music's Country Heat Weekly podcast, Pardi opened up about his decision to make a big lifestyle change. He revealed that he has been sober since August 22, 2023. Pardi explained that his health issues, including being pre-diabetic, motivated him to give up alcohol. He shared that he has "lost a bunch of weight" since giving up drinking, which has also boosted his confidence in his appearance

Pardi expressed that he was unhappy with his image in every picture and video before, but now he feels much better about himself. However, Pardi clarified that he hasn't committed to being sober for the rest of his life. He described himself as "retired," implying that he may come out of retirement at some point. But for now, he is enjoying the benefits of sobriety. Pardi humorously mentioned a recent photo shoot where he felt great about his appearance and playfully said, "Take that, Tito's!" He advised anyone considering giving up alcohol for weight loss to go for it because it has helped him tremendously. Despite his sobriety, Pardi confessed that he still has a weakness for ice cream and sugar cravings. He indulges in treats like candy bars, Twix ice cream, and coffee ice cream, since he is no longer drinking. Apart from his sobriety journey, Pardi has been busy in the latter half of 2023

He released his first full-length holiday project, "Merry Christmas From Jon Pardi," and also became an official member of the Grand Ole Opry. He was formally inducted into the prestigious institution in a ceremony led by Garth Brooks in late October. In conclusion, Jon Pardi's sobriety journey has brought about positive changes in his health and self-image. He continues to thrive in his music career, with notable achievements in the latter half of 2023.
