"Hamilton Lotto Players Strike it Lucky in Second Division and Strike Four for Early Christmas Win" Dec 28, 2023

Two lucky Lotto players from Hamilton had a reason to celebrate last Saturday. The first player, who purchased their ticket via MyLotto, won $29,425 in the Second Division of the live Lotto draw. Meanwhile, another Hamilton resident, also using MyLotto, won $66,667 by matching all four numbers in Strike Four. Across the country, there were 11 other winners, including one player from Paihia who won the Powerball Second Division, taking home a total jackpot of $53,869

Unfortunately, nobody won the Powerball, and the jackpot for tonight's draw will be $10 million. The upcoming Lotto First Division, on the other hand, will be worth $1 million. Hamilton's Lotto players have been on a winning streak this month. One player won $500,000 in the Lotto First Division, and another purchased a $17,723 Second Division winner from Bin Inn Hamilton East

Last month, there were more Waikato winners, including a Thames couple who won $1 million, a Cambridge player who won $500,000 in Lotto Strike Four, a Ngāruawāhia player who won a share of $1 million in the Lotto First Division, and a Hamilton couple who won a staggering $8.3 million in Powerball. Lotto NZ announced that its Christmas promotion was now underway. All Triple Dip tickets purchased until December 30 would be entered into a draw to win one of three additional $1 million prizes. However, Lotto NZ reminded customers to gift their products responsibly and only give them to adults. Lotto NZ is committed to giving back to the community, with 100% of its profits being returned through lottery grants programs overseen by Te Puna Tahua NZ Lottery Grants Board. The live Lotto draw on Wednesday will be broadcast on TVNZ 2 at 8.20pm due to T20 cricket coverage on TVNZ 1.
