Google's Clock app has received an update that brings a delightful new design to its weather forecasts. In October, Google introduced the feature of showing weather forecasts right after users dismiss their alarms in the morning. This addition is exclusive to Google's Pixel phones and is powered by the new Google Weather app. Previously, the forecast appeared as a block of text with an icon indicating the current conditions
Now, the forecast animates in, displaying the current conditions and temperature in a circle at the top left, and the day's forecasted conditions and high and low temperatures in another shape at the bottom right. The new design is more glanceable and follows Google's Pixel design language. Notably, the new forecast UI displays less information, showing only the day's forecast instead of the current day and the following. However, this trade-off is worth it, as the new UI is easier to read in the morning. The update seems to be a server-side change or influenced by the Google Weather app on Pixel devices, as the Clock app itself has not been updated since October
