"The Browns Defense Shines as Joe Flacco Steps Up: A Promising Season Ahead for Cleveland" Dec 28, 2023

The Cleveland Browns have found themselves closing in on the playoffs despite losing their starting quarterback this season. Thanks to a strong defense and the decision to sign Joe Flacco, they have managed to stay in the hunt. On the other hand, the New York Jets have struggled after losing their own starting quarterback and dealing with a messy backup quarterback situation. Interestingly, when Aaron Rodgers went down and Flacco was available, the Jets never reached out to him

Jets coach Robert Saleh, however, stands by that decision and says he has no regrets. According to Saleh, he never allowed himself to second-guess the choice. Despite that, he does acknowledge that Flacco did a good job for the Jets in the past. Nonetheless, the Jets had the quarterback room they wanted with Rodgers, Zach Wilson, and Tim Boyle

Even if Saleh maintains that there are no regrets, it's hard to ignore the fact that Flacco has been performing better for the Browns this year compared to any of the three quarterbacks the Jets have relied on without Rodgers. With the presence of a capable veteran like Flacco, the Jets could very well still be vying for a playoff spot.
