On December 27, 2023, WWE made a highly anticipated return to Madison Square Garden for a Holiday Tour live show. The event was a success, with a lot of excitement both on and off the stage. According to PWInsider, there were multiple cameras present to film the show, hinting at a possible future airing of parts of the event. Behind the scenes, the show was produced by Chris Park (Abyss) and Robert Roode. Interestingly, there was no sign of Triple H or Vince McMahon in attendance
However, this did not dampen the spirits of the wrestling fans in attendance. One highlight of the event was the availability of CM Punk WWE merchandise. Fans had the opportunity to purchase a special shirt featuring the date of the event with the words, "The Best in the World came home to New York City." Despite the excitement, there was a time constraint due to the New York State Athletic Commission's curfew. PWInsider reports that the main event, which featured Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre competing for the World Heavyweight Title, had to be sped up to ensure the show finished by 10:30 pm local time. As a result of the curfew, the main event unfolded faster than initially planned. Rollins was able to retain his title by executing a Powerbomb through a table, followed by a Curb Stomp to secure the victory over McIntyre.
