Playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, known for his hit numbers like 'Chunnari Chunnari', 'Badi Mushkil Hai', and 'Dhoom Taana', has accused superstar Salman Khan of deliberately choosing Pakistani singers over Indian singers. Bhattacharya, who is best remembered for his songs sung for Shah Rukh Khan, has accused Salman Khan of showing loyalty towards Pakistan by promoting Pakistani artists. During an interview, Bhattacharya stated that Salman Khan dropped songs of top Indian singers to instead promote Pakistani singers, just to showcase his allegiance to the neighboring country. He expressed his disappointment towards Salman Khan and stated that he doesn't even deserve to be hated. These allegations come in the wake of Salman Khan replacing Arijit Singh with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for an upcoming project
However, it should be noted that Salman and Arijit recently resolved their feud and collaborated for 'Tiger 3'. This isn't the first time Bhattacharya has targeted Salman Khan. In the past, he also criticized Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, along with filmmakers Karan Johar and the Bhatts, for employing Pakistani artists after the Uri terrorist attack. Bhattacharya referred to them as 'anti-nationals' and advocated for teaching them a lesson. The remarks made by Bhattacharya have reignited the debate around the inclusion of Pakistani artists in the Indian entertainment industry. While some support his stance, others argue for the importance of artistic freedom and cultural exchange. Salman Khan, who is yet to respond to these accusations, has often been praised for his love for music and his support towards emerging talents
It remains to be seen how the industry and the public react to these allegations and whether any action will be taken in response.
