"Jayaram Takes Charge: Managing Global Sourcing, Distribution, Logistics, and Planning" Dec 28, 2023

Wolverine World Wide, Inc., the parent company of well-known athletic and apparel brands such as Merrell, Sperry, and Chaco, has promoted Bishu Jayaram to the position of chief supply chain officer. In this newly-created role, Jayaram will be responsible for overseeing the global sourcing, distribution, logistics, and integrated planning of the company. Reporting directly to president and CEO Chris Hufnagel, Jayaram's appointment reflects Wolverine World Wide's dedication to improving operational efficiency and transitioning into a growth company that prioritizes its consumers. Jayaram brings with him more than 20 years of experience in supply chain and sourcing, having previously served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sourcing for Wolverine World Wide. In this role, he successfully led sourcing activities for all product categories across the company's brand portfolio. Prior to joining Wolverine World Wide, Jayaram held various supply chain positions with VF Corporation, where he was responsible for Asia sourcing of footwear, equipment, and packs, as well as global material supply for apparel, footwear, and equipment. He has also worked with notable companies such as Adidas, Gap, and Avery Denison. Hufnagel emphasized Jayaram's exceptional track record of navigating complex supply chain landscapes and implementing innovative strategies during times of supply chain volatility. Additionally, Wolverine World Wide announced that Jim Zwiers, Executive Vice President and President of the Global Operations Group, will be leaving the company in early 2024

With a tenure of 25 years at the company, Zwiers has held various leadership positions including President of Wolverine's Outdoor and Lifestyle Group, President of the International Group, and General Counsel. His contributions also extended to leading mergers and acquisitions efforts.
