Macomb County man Safa Behnam had an incredible stroke of luck just before his birthday when he won $100,000 from the Michigan Lottery. Behnam, 45, was chosen in a random drawing on Nov. 30 after earning entries by scanning non-winning tickets on the Michigan Lottery app. Expressing his excitement, Behnam mentioned his frequent participation in the 500X Money Maker game, hoping to win one of the grand $6 million prizes. He added that he would scan non-winning tickets for a second chance
Initially assuming the email notification about his win was a scam, Behnam contacted the Lottery office to confirm. Much to his surprise, he discovered that it was, in fact, real. Behnam, whose birthday was just a few days away, considers the win to be a fantastic early birthday gift. Behnam wasted no time in visiting the Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. He revealed that he plans to use the money to take a family vacation to Mexico and save the rest
